2008 Performances by

Charlie Parr
Charlie Parr played Terrapin Station on Saturday October 11th 2008

Authentic with feeling, Charlie takes you back in time. His solid rhythms and slide fingerwork on his resonator, 12 string or banjo get your head bobbing even if you're not prone to dance. Then there were some, like my wife, who couldn't stop dancing and woke up sore in the morning like she'd been to the gym!

In my opinion, Charlie is a musical treasure and it was an honor to have him play for a packed house to close our first season of music!

Enchanted Ape
Enchanted Ape played Terrapin Station on Saturday October 4th 2008

Keep an eye on this band! Five very dedicated guys playing some great original music. With jam band roots, Enchanted Ape takes their music through jazz, blues and reggae influences. At an Ape show one begins thinking that acting like a monkey could become a phenomena.

Sam Hankey from Absolute Gruv played keyboards on a number of songs!

Matthew Fox
Matthew Fox played Terrapin Station on September 20th 2008

Matthew joined us with his wife Melody for a great evening of guitar and resonator music. Texas Americana style with jazzy, bluesy influences. Matthew is sometimes compared to the likes of Lyle Lovett. He gave a strong performance with a depth of original material.

Brian Henke
Brian Henke played Terrapin Station on September 11th, 2008

A fantastic virtuouso fingerstylist, Brian played a very special show. Many people told me that they could visualize the music that he played based on the descriptions and titles of his pieces. It was a very cool experience to watch Brian and listen to his stories and music!

Dancing Light played Terrapin Station on September 6th, 2008

Greg and Kiki have been great supporters of Terrapin Station, being among some of the first musicians that we connected with in Northern Minnesota! They are true folk performers and songwriters. A Beatlesque sort of style of the Grateful Dead meet Peter, Paul and Mary!

Adam Hammer played Terrapin Station on August 16th, 2008

On a late summer day, Adam and his wife, came up from St Cloud to share an evening with us. With his own brand of "tattoed folk" music, Adam performed songs sharing a depth of experience beyond his years. That evening, the air was warm, the sky was clear and the moon ushered them safely back to St Cloud...what a magical night!

Paul Jones played Terrapin Station on August 9th, 2008

The first time I heard Paul play was during soundcheck and after I picked my jaw off the floor, I jumped up and started calling all my guitar playing friends! He is a guitar player's guitarist and a giant of a nice guy. His music leans toward ballads with a Celtic origin.

Thea Ennen played Terrapin Station on August 2nd, 2008

We instantly fell in love with Thea and her music! She is an incredibly gifted composer who crafts a song that is at once familiar, yet with a pleasant edge of surprise. She forges lyrics out of life experiences seen from a uniquely wise perspective.

Dan Rumsey was Thea's special guest musician who played with her on many songs, yet brought his own original music to share. It was a great night of music!

Caleigh played Terrapin Station on July 31st, 2008

Celtic music on a high plain. Even though Caleigh is comprised of only three lovely ladies, they used 12 different channels on our mixing board, owing to the wide range of instruments they used to create beautiful aural harmonies. We were transported into a very special place by their beautiful tones and harmonies.

Sometimes it's time to take the gloves off and let it rip! HazBeenz tore the roof off with their high powered classic rock and blues style. A fantasic group of four of the best guys around!

This modern acoustic power folk duo brought a huge sunshiny vibe to the Station! Awesome guitar work and great harmonies. Their joy of music is infectious and is a testament to the relationship they have both on and off stage. A great couple that spreads love and sunshine everywhere they go!

Four part vocal harmonies that gives you chills...and I mean that in a good way! An eclectic blend of bluegrass, country and folk, these guys are a real crowd pleaser and a true pleasure to get to know.
